Mirage
A day of celebration
Rusty metallic plates cover the roofs and fences, barbed wire draws the landscape, while flags wave proudly in the wind. The Balata-refugee camp on the West Bank is the inspiration for a dance that is vibrant, rhythmic, and drenched with emotion. Savage solo’s, powerful duets and a compelling group energy – hip-hop intertwines with the traditional Dabkeh-dance, and every movement carries a message of resistance and resilience. Irreal, intense, but also hypnotic and full of vitality. A celebration of community and unbreakable spirit.
- After the performance, Company Dyptik transforms the scene into a wild dance floor. The party continues afterwards at the bar with a DJ and live music.
