What happens when a hug, a pat on the back or a firm handshake suddenly becomes acrobatic? In this performance, small, everyday touches grow into large, surprising movements. What is ordinary and recognizable becomes spectacular.
You can join in too. Would you like a hug, or would you prefer a hand? Unexpected encounters and spontaneous duets arise. Or is not everything what it seems?
About the company
THERE THERE Company is a creative duo. Hanna Mampuys and Toon Van Gramberen have been working together as partner acrobats and circus creators since 2010. They draw inspiration for their performances from their own circus practice, hand-to-hand acrobatics, in which collaborating bodies form the starting point. The performer takes centre stage in all their vulnerability and imperfection. For this project, they are expanding the team with four professional partner acrobats: Helena Sirugue, Théo Corre, Willem Rys and Xanthe Van der Jeught.
