Three top jugglers expose what you usually are not allowed to see: the failure behind the success. In a series of choreographies full of hypnotic juggling patterns, even the smallest mistakes become part of the performance. Juggling balls transform into powerful metaphors of how we deal with pressure, missteps and the gaze of others.
Droplines mixes playful timing, precise movements, and humor into an intimate and unexpected celebration of imperfection, turning human failure into art.

About the company
Tall Tales Company was founded in 2013 by Maartje Bonarius and Harm van der Laan, alumni of Codarts Rotterdam. Over the years they developed a circus language based on the theatrical undercurrents in circus movements. In which large themes are reduced to recognizable and personal storylines.
Inspired by their fascination with human nature, Bonarius and van der Laan create theatrical performances that are layered and accessible at the same time; with a magical, edgy and humoristic touch. Since its creation, Tall Tales has grown from a small festival company to an important fixture in the Dutch circus landscape, with a unique repertoire in a wide range of different performances.
Tall Tales performs about 100 times annually. Their performances can be seen at festivals, in regular theaters and at extraordinary locations as forests, churches and museums.
