Social status, hierarchy and authority are omnipresent in our daily lives. With simple wooden ladders, four acrobats play construction games revolving around the balance of power. They climb, fall and pick themselves up, collapse and trample or help each other. In an acrobatic choreography, they discover the contradictions of our society and the limits of ‘endless’ growth.
La Tournoyante Production goes back to basics: bodies and objects. The bodies are alive, and so are the objects, creating a composition of actions and contrasts. They regard their circus as a space of pure demonstration, without any predefined meaning, with margin for interpretation.
